Hope Springs began as a modest desert spa in 1963, originally created by two visionary women drawn to the natural mineral waters of Desert Hot Springs. Like many properties in the area at the time, it was built around a simple idea: that the water itself was the destination.

Today, Hope Springs remains a peaceful desert refuge — intentionally small, deliberately quiet, and designed to help you genuinely disconnect. Ten rooms, three mineral pools, and a pace of life that the outside world rarely allows.

Desert Hot Springs sits atop one of the world's most remarkable natural aquifers. At Hope Springs, our well draws naturally hot mineral water around the clock — feeding three pools at different temperatures and available throughout the property 24/7 for drinking and soaking.

If you're looking for room service, daily turndown, or constant attention, we may not be the right fit. But if you're seeking space, calm, and care without intrusion, you'll feel at home here. Our goal is to welcome you personally — then step back. We're always here if you need us, but never in your way.

  • Hope Springs is a small, adults-only boutique hotel in Desert Hot Springs, California. With just ten rooms, three mineral pools, mountain views, and a calm, minimalist atmosphere, it is designed for guests who want to slow down, soak, rest, read, reconnect, and enjoy the desert.

  • Yes. Hope Springs is intentionally quiet. We do not have TVs in the rooms, do not play music around the property, and ask guests to use quiet voices throughout the hotel. Cell phone calls are not permitted around the pools or spa area so every guest can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

  • Yes. Hope Springs is an adults-only property, and all guests must be 21 years or older. Children are not permitted.

  • No. While we love animals, pets are not allowed at Hope Springs.

  • Hope Springs has three mineral pools filled with naturally hot mineral spring water from our well, which flows 24 hours a day.

  • Each room has one king-sized bed and is designed for up to two adults. We are not equipped to accommodate more than two people per room.

  • Yes. Hope Springs is for registered guests only. Because we are a small, quiet property, outside visitors are not permitted unless specifically arranged with the hotel in advance.
